About Us
Africa, the cradle of mankind, remains the least known; the least appreciated, largely because of its unexplored, undisclosed but fascinating secrets, locked up in its inner recesses of history. Its beliefs, perception of things, way of life, color and flavor is definitely distinct and should be accepted as such. The Africaness in an African is not Western. With Grotto Afrique you will experience a one stop visit to Africa.
Grotto Afrique is a gallery of history, the first of its kind in this part of the world. The mission of the gallery is to promote and celebrate excellence and document history. Those who played major roles in the evolution of thieR nation and went the extra mile to add value to thie lives of the people in all spheres of Endeavour, will be identified, honoured and celebrated. Their names, photographs and achievements will be displayed in the Gallery of History permanently.
The gallery is interactive and the most comprehensive and innovative methods are employed in selecting recipients of the gallery’s recognition and awards.
Heroes
Africa has a lot of men and women who have at various periods of its history devoted their all to make the country great. Some were acknowledged and had their five minutes of fame before they were quickly forgotten. Many were unrecognized and unrequited. Some who were hailed as heroes faded into oblivion as soon as they were out of the scene or were no longer needed. A nation that does not acknowledge its past cannot understand today and cannot plan meaningfully for tomorrow.
Grotto Afrique’s
Gallery of History has been set up to immortalize these men and women, celebrate their lives and set them up as role models to present and future generations, especially the youths, and to the whole world.
